This year we will be using a free online service, Sign Up Genius, to sign up for the computer labs as well as the Library Media Center. The links to sign up for the Library Media Center, computer labs 226, 251 and the Macintosh lab can be found on the SOMS home page. The first time you sign up you will need to register using your email address. After the initial registration, you will NOT have to register again.
You MUST sign up individual students for the seats available in the computer lab. Please do not send a student to the labs without signing them up. They will be turned away and sent back to quiet study. Sign–up is a few clicks and will prevent chaos in the labs.
Please remember you should only be writing passes and requesting seats in the labs for students needing to do work for your content area. Quiet study teachers should not be writing passes and requesting seats.
Students using the library media center may do so with a pass only. These should be students that do not necessarily need to use a computer, but have research or content work that needs to be completed.
Reminder: Only four students per content area teacher can be sent to the library media center during quiet study. Students may visit the Library Media Center with a pass from the quiet study teacher to exchange books during quiet study.
